$24.99 DAZN PPV: Beterbiev-Bivol Headlines Loaded Card

The Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol 2 rematch on February 22nd is very affordable for fans. The pay-per-view price on DAZN is $24.99 for U.S. fans and £19.99 for UK fans.

This card is a great deal for fans. In addition to the main event, the Vergil Ortiz Jr. vs. Israil Madrimov clash is the diamond gem and easily the best fight. That fight is worthy of being the co-feature. It should be the primary support for this card, not the Daniel Dubois vs. Joseph Parker fight.

It’s understandable why the first two undercard fights would be better placed beneath the Ortiz Jr.-Madrimov contest. Neither of them matches the entertainment value that clashes will bring. The co-feature for the card is IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois defending against crafty boxer Joseph Parker.

That’s a decent but not a great fight because Parker has become a defensive fighter. He won’t stand and fight Dubois and wind up like Anthony Joshua. The middleweight contest between WBC champion Carlos Adames and Hamzah Sheeraz is the other fight that needs to be buried deeper. I wouldn’t mind seeing Hamzah placed high on a card if fed to a shark, like Janibek Alimkhanuly.

That fight won’t interest Americans nearly as much as Ortiz Jr-Madrimov. Hamzah is seen as a fake hype job. If you saw Sheeraz getting staggered by Austin Williams, there were flashbacks to the days of Amir Khan. He looks chinny and nowhere near talented enough to defeat the King of the 160-lb division, Janibek.

If Hamzah were fighting Janibek, he would be worth placing high on the card, but not against Adames. That just looks like careful matchmaking to keep Hamzah from being exposed.

“I had a fight, but I know I could be better. This fight, I’m working to be much better than the last,” said Dmitry Bivol to Fight Hub TV, discussing his goal for the rematch with Artur Beterbiev. “I know why because it was a really close fight, and I let it be a close fight. It was all my fight to let this fight be close. I need to work harder in the ring. I could, but I didn’t.

“Maybe I could go to cruiserweight. There are some interesting fights. Turki Al-Sheikh wants to see the winner of the fight at cruiserweight or to make mandatory with Benavidez and Morrell. That’s also a good fight. If I have a good offer that boxing fans are interested to see, I will follow it also, of course,” said Bivol.
