Detroit Lions’ Jared Goff and wife Christen Harper Goff are expecting their first child together!
The couple revealed the news of the impending arrival by stepping out at the NFL Honors red carpet on Thursday, February 6 in New Orleans ahead of the Super Bowl.
Christen, 31, showed off her blossoming baby bump in a figure-hugging brown floor-length dress, emphasizing her pregnancy by cradling her stomach while Jared, 30, posed by her side.
ESPN reporter Jeff Darlington confirmed the news of the pregnancy via X later that night.
“Congratulations to Christen and Jared Goff, who will welcome their first baby this offseason! Christen and Jared are here on the red carpet for NFL Honors, where Jared is nominated for MVP and Man of the Year,” Darlington wrote. “An exciting time for two amazing people who will make such great parents.”
Jared and Christen met via exclusive dating app Raya in 2019 when the athlete played for the Los Angeles Rams and they both lived in California.

Christen later reflected on their chance meeting during an interview with Sports Illustrated in September 2022.
“I was truly not looking for anything at the time,” Christen told the outlet. “I had just gotten out of a long relationship and I was trying to stay single for a year. Then I met him and the rest is history, baby.”
The pair made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2019 ESPYs, before Jared was traded to the Lions nearly two years later.
Christen spoke about moving states in an interview with The New York Post in December 2022.
“We’ve always been in California, so there was an excitement to a fresh start, but at the same time, my whole career has been in L.A. and I did not know what it was going to look like moving away from that,” she told the outlet, but added she was glad she took the leap of faith.

“I feel lucky to kind of start branching out into doing different things,” she added. “I think the space allowed me to do that because if I stayed in L.A., I probably would have continued to do the same work I’ve done for years.”
Jared popped the question to Christen while they were on vacation in Los Cabos, Mexico, announcing their engagement via Instagram in June 2022.
“I’m the luckiest guy in the world because I get to spend forever with you. I love you ❤️ @christenharper,” he wrote via Instagram.

The following week, Christen shared photos from the trip via her Instagram, writing, “Still on cloud 9 from the best weekend of my life 🫶🏻”
The same month, the NFL star and model exchanged vows in Ojai, California surrounded by friends and family.
Their wedding ceremony came one month after Goff signed a $212 million, four-year extension with the Lions that included a $73 million signing bonus.
