It would be a money-grab type of fight, but there are enough suckers that would purchase a Canelo vs. Jake fight for both to make a killing.
• Placing His Name Among The Best: By Jake Paul calling out Canelo, he’s planting the idea into casual boxing fans’ heads that he’s a relevant fighter on the same perch as the Mexican star. It’s a strategy behind name-dropping. A person mentions someone who is above their achievement level to make the listener believe they’re at the same level.
