After revealing that she’s expecting her third child with husband Zac Affleck, the reality star confirmed whether or not she will be part of the much-anticipated second season.

Jen Affleck Is Pregnant!

To the shock of many, Affleck recently spilled her big secret – she’s expecting her third baby with Zac.

“I was a few days late, and while it was a surprise, we both had a feeling there was another baby waiting for us,” Affleck told PEOPLE. “We were very excited, there were a lot of emotions after a very crazy year!”

This baby will join big sister Nora, 3, and big brother Lucas, 19 months, and both are “beyond excited” to find out about the new addition to the family.

“Nora has been hoping for a little sister, and I can tell she really wants it to be a girl,” Affleck said. “I have a strong feeling it’s a girl. I’ve dreamed about this little girl for a while now, and I truly believe she’s the one I’m carrying.”

Affleck revealed that they will be waiting until the baby’s birth to find out if the new addition will be a girl or boy.

Fans of the hit Hulu reality show know all too well that Affleck’s relationship has been the center of lots of chatter online. Affleck admitted to Vulture that while filming season 1, the couple was “in a rocky place” and have been in therapy since the show wrapped. She also shared that she feels the show was “probably the best thing to happen” for them.

“It’s scary to have your relationship exposed to the world,” she said. “I wanted to move forward with filming, because that’s what felt right to me, my career, and wanting to provide for my family.”

Knowing that season 1 took a toll on Affleck and her relationship, many fans wondered if she would be signing on for season 2 of the show.

“Filming can be incredibly mentally draining, and adding pregnancy along with all the challenges I faced this last season was a big challenge,” she told PEOPLE. “After dealing with the backlash from season 1 and stepping into season 2 with a lot of baggage, this pregnancy has been the toughest.”

Affleck confirmed that she will in fact be part of the new season, so fans can relax now knowing that she’s coming back!

The Couple Has Been Doing ‘Nonstop Therapy’

Sharing insight into being in a “rocky place” when they began filming season 1, Affleck reflected on it saying it was “probably the best thing to happen to us, because a lot of the things they showed were things I didn’t want to acknowledge.”

“That’s something a lot of members of the Church do, and I think that’s something that needs to change in the culture,” she told Vulture back in September.

“Since filming, we’ve done therapy nonstop. If we continue in our relationship, there are changes that need to be made. If they’re not made, we might have to … look at other options. But as of right now, I do think he’s trying his best to make those changes.”

Many fans have been sharing their thoughts and concerns for Affleck and her relationship with Zac on social media posts. After announcing her third pregnancy, many fans left discouraging and negative comments.

After the first season took Hulu by storm in September, fans couldn’t wait to hear about a second season. They didn’t have to wait too long before finding out that the hit reality show was picked up for another season.

Season 1 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” is currently streaming on Hulu and made its broadcast debut on ABC on January 27 as part of ABC’s Winter Programming Line-Up.

Season 2 is currently filming and will be released on Hulu in May 2025.
