England National Cricket Team faced a massive injury scare in the ongoing third ODI against India National Cricket Team. Captain Jos Buttler has walked off the field with a hand injury at the Narendra Modi International Cricket Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Jos Buttler, who is England’s best batter in the series, faced a hand injury while fielding in the first innings of the ongoing match. The England National Cricket Team skipper hasn’t returned to the field after that, and in his absence, Harry Brook, who is vice-captain, has taken over the charge.

His form has been the only positive for the team in the ongoing tour, and with him also facing injury, it will make things worse for the Three Lions.
Apart from this, England National Cricket Team are also mulling over the fitness of Mark Wood. The fast bowler walked off the field after his first spell, and so far, there hasn’t been any clarity on him either.
In place of Jos Buttler and Mark Wood, Rehan Ahmed and Jamie Overton, who has a tight hamstring are on the field. If England face another injury then they won’t have any more substitutes on the bench.

He will be key for his team in the game and a win here would be important for England, considering that ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is around the corner. The visitors have struggled to get going on the entire tour, as after losing the T20I series by 4-1, they lost the 50-over serie a well.
England National Cricket Team would be eager to close the India tour on high and head into the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on the back of the win. If they manage to win, it will be a great confidence booster for them.
