However, WME is pushing back against the reports, insisting that they are still working with Meghan Markle.

According to Page Six, Markle has not held a meeting with WME’s high-profile CEO, Ari Emanuel, since January 2023. While she is believed to have met with her day-to-day agents, sources suggest she was quietly let go for being “too demanding” and “difficult to work with.”

“WME continues to represent Meghan and Archewell,” a spokesperson for the agency stated, adding that they are still involved in some of her projects under the Archewell umbrella, which she runs with Prince Harry.

Despite WME’s statement, industry insiders paint a different picture.

A source claims that in January 2024, just after the holidays, Markle allegedly had a tense exchange with WME, demanding a meeting and expecting “decks and plans,” though it remains unclear whether this was for her personal brand or Archewell. The situation reportedly escalated, with Emanuel deciding he was “done with her,” an incident that has since been confirmed by another insider.

The timing of these claims comes just as Markle prepares to debut her Netflix lifestyle series “With Love, Meghan” on Tuesday. She has been in the midst of relaunching herself on Instagram in conjunction with her Netflix show and new lifestyle brand.

However, her business ventures have already hit roadblocks. Markle was recently forced to rename her brand to As Ever following trademark issues with her original name, American Riviera Orchard. Additionally, Page Six reports that products from her new line, including her widely hyped jam, won’t be available for sale for months after her show’s launch.

While WME was initially expected to guide her brand development, another Hollywood source claimed, “I don’t know what those projects are, but WME is definitely not working on Meghan’s personal business.”

Markle’s Reputation Under Fire Once Again

The alleged rift with WME is not the first time Markle’s work relationships have come into question. Over the years, she and Prince Harry have struggled to maintain a stable team, with some of their former employees referring to themselves as the “Sussex Survivors Club.”

Adding to the controversy, Buckingham Palace previously conducted an inquiry into allegations of bullying leveled against Markle during her time as a working royal. While the findings were never publicly released, Markle’s former press secretary, Jason Knauf, recently spoke out on “60 Minutes Australia,” reaffirming his past accusations.

In a message reportedly sent to Prince William’s press secretary in 2018, Knauf wrote, “I am very concerned that the duchess was able to bully two PAs out of the household in the past year. The treatment of X was totally unacceptable.”

His message continued, “The Duchess seems intent on always having someone in her sights. She is bullying Y and seeking to undermine her confidence. We have had report after report from people who have witnessed unacceptable behavior.”

The criticisms don’t stop there.

A Vanity Fair report published in January described Markle as having a “Mean Girls teenager” attitude, while a former Spotify employee who worked on her Archetypes podcast called the experience “really, really, really awful” and “very painful.”

Meghan Markle’s Public Image Struggles After ‘Avalanche of Missteps,’ Say Experts

According to Kinsey Schofield, host of the “To Di For Daily” podcast, Markle’s reputation took a major hit following her and Harry’s explosive 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, where they detailed their struggles within the royal family and made shocking allegations. The interview, watched by nearly 50 million people worldwide, set the tone for how the couple would be perceived in their post-royal life.

“America was supposed to be a fresh start for the Sussexes,” Schofield told Fox News Digital. “[But] they set the tone for how their audience perceives them.”

Instead of capitalizing on their newfound independence, Schofield claims the couple became consumed with grievances. “Harry and Meghan spent the first three years of their new life in America bitter, angry, and complaining,” she said.

The expert believes that a different approach could have yielded better results. “Keeping things positive is generally the best approach. This builds trust and likability. People are more likely to connect with those who inspire, uplift, or offer solutions rather than complain,” she explained.
