Karen Huger was first arrested in March 2024 after crashing her Maserati into a tree in Maryland. The reality star was found guilty of driving under the influence and several other driving offenses in December 2024.

Karen Huger Sentenced To One Year In Jail For Driving Under The Influence
According to Fox 5 DC, a Maryland judge has sentenced Huger to two years in jail with one year suspended following her DUI case in 2024.
The prosecution, which recommended a six-month sentence, slammed the Bravo veteran before her sentencing for taking zero accountability. They also referenced Huger’s previous driving infractions, which occurred between 2006 and 2011.
“The fact that Ms. Huger has repeatedly been given the benefit of another chance on three separate occasions demonstrates that she has not learned anything from her prior arrests,” the prosecutor wrote. “In fact, it appears as if she has been emboldened.”

Karen Huger Entered Rehab To Address Her Drinking
Huger missed the season 9 “RHOP” reunion to enter an in-patient recovery program. During part one of the three-part special, the mother of two addressed her cast with a pre-recorded video.
“I am going away to a treatment center to address taking antidepressants and drinking,” she said. “I want to get to the bottom of it.”
Several of her cast mates, including Dr. Wendy Osefo and Gizelle Bryant, questioned the timing of her recovery program.
“It’s kind of interesting that she’s doing it before her sentencing,” Osefo said. “And I’m wondering, ‘Is she doing it because she feels like she needs help, or is she doing it because she feels it will lighten the blow of the sentence?'”
