Robert Hendrix, a Florida man, has been arrested and charged after his mother reportedly found his girlfriend’s dead body in his bedroom.

According to PEOPLE, a woman reportedly identified as Hendrix’s mother arrived at his home on October 9, 2024, to take shelter amid the arrival of Hurricane Milton. The following day, after the storm passed, Robert Hendrix reportedly left the location to go to the store.

While he was out, his mother reportedly discovered the body of his girlfriend, Kristin Carrier, in the master bedroom. Per the outlet, Carrier’s body was discovered wrapped in a tarp.

Afterward, the mother notified Hendrix’s sister, and when she arrived at the home, they both confronted him. In response, Hendrix reportedly became “animated,” and his mother ultimately contacted police.

More Details On Robert Hendrix’s Charges

Per the outlet, cops discovered “various blood patterns on the walls and floor” of Robert Hendrix’s home. Additionally, they reportedly recovered a bat and knife from the scene.

Per a press release from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Carrier reportedly died of “multiple gunshot and stab wounds.” Additionally, police arrested Hendrix on February 19. Per PEOPLE, he was initially hit with unrelated charges of “a felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a controlled substance.”

Since then, Robert Hendrix has reportedly been hit with “second-degree murder and tampering with evidence” in connection to Carrier’s death. He has yet to enter a plea.

Per Law & Crime, the man is expected to appear in court on March 12.

A Woman In Florida Has Also Made Headlines For Alleged Actions Involving Her Ex-Boyfriend

Robert Hendrix is not the only Floridian to make headlines for his alleged actions toward a partner or former partner. As The Shade Room previously reported, a Florida woman named Latorray Collins was arrested on February 15. Collins allegedly tracked down her ex-boyfriend sometime after he broke up with her and saw him in a car with another female.

Ultimately, Collins approached the vehicle her ex was driving and shot his female passenger in the head.
