Chelsea agree deal to sign £11.5m Brazil teenager in 2026

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign 17-year-old Corinthians left-back Denner, reports have revealed.

It emerged late in January that Chelsea were pursuing a move for Denner, the cousin of Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes, after he rejected the offer of a new contract in order to pursue a career in Europe.

Denner’s release clause to other Brazilian clubs is believed to sit at around £1.4m and so Corinthians have prioritised negotiations with Chelsea and Vene Casagrande was the first to confirm a deal had been struck.

Chelsea have agreed to pay an initial £8.25m, plus a further £3.3m in add-ons, to sign Denner, who cannot move to Europe until after his 18th birthday in February 2026. As a result, he is expected to move to Stamford Bridge in the summer of that year.

A seven-year contract is waiting for Denner, while Corinthians will also hold a 15% sell-on clause for the highly rated teenager.

Chelsea officials have made a point out of chasing South American youngsters with high potential. Estevao Willian will join from Palmeiras this summer and will be joined by midfielder Andrey Santos, who was signed from Vasco da Gama in 2023 and is enjoying a stunning loan spell with Strasbourg.

There could be another new face if Chelsea have their way as Ole state the Blues are interested in 18-year-old River Plate winger Ian Subiabre, whose contract includes a release clause of around £25m.
