MeetKai provides AI for smart glasses with embedded OS

MeetKai, a startup with AI and immersive technology, is launching an AI-based OS as software for AI-powered smart glasses.

At CES 2025, MeetKai, which has focused so far on web-based metaverse-like applications, is showing off tech including its AI-powered wearables. This marks the company’s first foray into hardware. These next-generation wearables promise to reshape how we interact with technology, connecting and empowering people in ways that were previously unimaginable, the company said.

MeetKai also has metaverse-like deals with Florida State University and Charlamagne tha God.

Introducing Unified Wearables Intelligence (UWI)

Think AR’s AI smart glasses weigh just 37 grams.

At the heart of this announcement is MeetKai’s Unified Wearables Intelligence (UWI)—an AI OS embedded in next-gen wearables designed to blend functionality with excitement. UWI delivers seamless augmented reality (AR) and AI-driven experiences, offering interactive capabilities that make cutting-edge technology more accessible and affordable for everyone.

MeetKai’s wearables are co-developed in partnership with leading hardware companies, combining AI software with intelligent hardware to offer flexible solutions across consumer and enterprise applications.

By offering these capabilities at various price points, MeetKai is making advanced AI and AR technology available to a broader range of users, creating an experience that combines the best in tech with true affordability and accessibility, expanding on MeetKai’s mission to democratize access to immersive technologies.

“At MeetKai, our mission is to shatter technological barriers and create tangible impact,” said James Kaplan, CEO of MeetKai, in a statement. “This year at CES, we’re showcasing how AI can be both innovative and inclusive, from transforming education with lifelike training platforms to making augmented reality technology accessible for everyone. These advancements aren’t just about futuristic concepts—they’re practical, user-focused tools that redefine how we live, work, and connect.”

One of the products using it is the Think AR AiLens Ultra, smart glasses which weigh 37 grams. Its AI responds to voice commands and does image analysis, live translation, navigation, app connections, integrated lens display, and integrated front-facing 5MP camera.

AI-Powered Wearables: ThinkAR has forged a strategic partnership with MeetKai to integrate their advanced AI software platforms across a comprehensive range of wearable devices, including smart watches, glasses, and headphones.

This collaboration will revolutionize how consumers interact with their environment, enabling intuitive AI-powered search and navigation capabilities that seamlessly accompany users throughout their daily lives. The partnership will empower organizations to harness AI technology in a way that enhances rather than disrupts workplace productivity, offering hands-free AI assistance across both private enterprises and public sector operations.

As far as metaverse-like apps, the company is also announcing deals with Florida State University (for an education platform) and an immersive entertainment world developed with Charlamagne tha God.

Florida State University’s College of Social Work is transforming how it trains social service workers by utilizing MeetKai’s immersive AI platforms. This technology immerses students in ultra-realistic, scenario-based environments which simulate real-world challenges, enabling them to receive real-time feedback and develop critical skills. The platform integrates advanced 3D graphics and AI-driven interactions to redefine traditional education, preparing learners for complex, real-world situations.

“At Florida State University (FSU), we are leaders in innovative research and invest in transformative technology solutions that support student success,” said Jonathan Fozard, associate vice president and chief information officer, Florida State University, in a statement. “Embedded AI environments allow learners to be immersed in real-life scenarios and practice skills to build a future-ready workforce.”

And Charlamagne tha God, a popular influencer, selected MeetKai to debut what he believes will be the future of entertainment. Combining innovative AI technologies with Charlamagne’s creative vision, this immersive environment will focus on social immersive content, multi-player games, sweepstakes gaming, sponsorship, merchandise, and more. Visitors to CES will get a glimpse of this highly anticipated collaboration, showcasing MeetKai’s mastery in immersive and digital twin technology.

“I’ve always believed in pushing boundaries, and with Charlamagne’s World, we’re doing just that,” Charlamagne tha God, MeetKai investor and advisor and creator of Charlamagne’s World, in a statement. “Partnering with MeetKai has allowed me to bring my vision for immersive entertainment to life—where creativity meets cutting-edge AI technology. This isn’t just the future of entertainment; it’s a whole new way to connect, engage, and build communities in the digital space.”
