Hugh Jackman And Sutton Foster Ignite Backlash As They Share Kisses

The pair allegedly started an affair before divorcing their respective exes but only recently confirmed their romance when they were seen holding hands after dinner.

The intimate moment left a sour taste in the mouth of many internet users, who slammed Hugh Jackman for being inconsiderate of his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness.

Now that their relationship is no longer a secret, Jackman and Foster have seemingly thrown caution to the wind when showing off how they feel about each other.

According to photos obtained by the Daily Mail, the new couple was seen sharing a passionate kiss while in the car at a San Fernando In-N-Out.

They couldn’t take their hands off each other as Foster tenderly cradled Jackman’s face while they waited to get their food.

They also packed on the PDA when they got out of the car, as Jackman wrapped his hands around Foster and pulled her in for a kiss before warmly hugging her.

It was a casual outing for the pair. The “X-Men” star wore a black tee and jeans paired with spectacles, while Foster wore an oversized blouse and jeans with sneakers.

Their PDA-filled outing comes after Jackman attended Foster’s performance of “Once Upon A Mattress” in Los Angeles over the weekend. The pair were also seen holding hands on a date in Santa Monica.

According to the Daily Mail, Jackman and Foster’s intimate session has sparked a debate among netizens. Some have criticized the actor for being inconsiderate of how his ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, must feel.

“Absolutely no reason to do this in public other than twist the knife for Deborra,” a fan wrote, while another said, “It’s awful for his ex wife to witness, I hope she finds happiness as well.”

A third person claimed that the duo’s kiss lacked passion, commenting, “Very awkward. No chemistry.”

“Oh, Hugh. I honestly thought you were a nice guy. Flaunting this in public is crass,” another fan noted.

The pair first met on the 2022 Broadway revival of “The Music Man” before allegedly going on to kickstart a secret affair that insiders claim was regarded as “Broadway’s worst-kept secret.”

Amid the criticisms, fans also supported the couple, with one saying, “This is the first time I’ve seen Hugh look genuinely happy.”

It was seemingly Jackman’s “affair” with Foster that led to the dissolution of the actor’s nearly 30-year marriage with Furness after they announced in September last year that they were going their separate ways to “pursue our individual growth.”

“Sutton and Hugh’s relationship is the reason Hugh and Deb got divorced,” a source close to Foster told US Weekly. “A lot of people on Broadway knew, and we kept it quiet because both of them are so nice and great people. Everyone respected their privacy. But there was an affair and overlap.”

Meanwhile, Foster also filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years, Ted Griffin, on October 25.

The “Bunheads” alum and Griffin share an adopted daughter, Emily, who is said to have met Jackman and reportedly calls him “Uncle Hugh.”

Jackman chose to keep his relationship with Foster out of the spotlight because he respects his ex-wife.

A source told OK! Magazine that he has been keeping hush over his relationship with Foster because he doesn’t want to “humiliate” Furness.

“They’ve been hiding their relationship from the outside world for so long, sneaking around, living apart, but there will come a time when they’ll want to come out as a couple,” the source claimed. “Soon, they may start testing the waters.”

The insider noted that “many in the theater world already knew their secret,” but the “X-Men” actor “doesn’t want the negative publicity,” neither does he want to “humiliate” Furness.

“Hugh cares for Deb a great deal. She’s the mother of his children,” they added.

Jackman’s public acknowledgment of his relationship with Foster couldn’t have come at a better time for Furness as she felt “relieved” after seeing pictures of him and Foster being cozy after their dinner date in Santa Monica.

The 69-year-old Australian actress was “plagued with suspicions” for months as sources close to her confirmed that her fears about Jackman’s relationship with Foster were warranted.

“Deborra-Lee feels a sense of relief, to be honest with you,” a source told the Daily Mail. “She has been plagued with suspicions. She was told it wasn’t true, and that they were nothing more than close friends who worked together.”

“But something in her heart told her that this was not true,” the insider said. “She trusted her intuition and her intuition was right. She finally feels at ease after getting confirmation that her fears and suspicions were warranted.”

The source added that Furness “can now fully close this chapter and move on” as she “has nothing more to say about her ex-husband and his close friend Sutton.”
