Blake Lively Blasts Justin Baldoni’s ‘It Ends With Us’ Raw Footage

Blake Lively has slammed her “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni after he released a 10-minute long raw footage of a crucial scene from their movie.

The actor’s legal team released the clip in an attempt to disprove Lively’s sexual harassment claims in her lawsuit.

However, according to a new report, Blake Lively is happy that Justin Baldoni released the video, as she believes it proves she was sexually harassed and shows how uncomfortable she was during the scene.

On Tuesday, Baldoni released footage from his film set with Lively, showcasing interactions between the actors, which his legal team claims challenges Lively’s December 20 sexual harassment allegations against her co-star and director.

However, in a lengthy statement, Lively’s lawyers applauded the release of the video, insisting it proves the allegations made in the actress’s lawsuit.

They told TMZ: “Justin Baldoni and his lawyer may hope that this latest stunt will get ahead of the damaging evidence against him, but the video itself is damning. Every frame of the released footage corroborates, to the letter, what Ms. Lively described in Paragraph 48 of her Complaint.”

“The video shows Mr. Baldoni repeatedly leaning in toward Ms. Lively, attempting to kiss her, kissing her forehead, rubbing his face and mouth against her neck, flicking her lip with his thumb, caressing her, telling her how good she smells, and talking with her out of character,” the lawyers continued.Blake Lively’s Lawyers Claim The Video Resonates With Women Harassed At Their Workplace By Their Bosses

In their statement, Lively’s lawyers claimed that Baldoni “improvised” the scene and made the actress uncomfortable, as there were allegedly no prior discussions.

They also noted that while Lively and Baldoni were co-stars, the actor also served as the director and her “employer,” implying there was a power imbalance.

The lawyers said, “Every moment of this was improvised by Mr. Baldoni with no discussion or consent in advance, and no intimacy coordinator present. Mr. Baldoni was not only Ms. Lively’s co-star, but the director, the head of studio and Ms. Lively’s boss.”

According to the legal team, the actress leaning away from Baldoni in the scene was not an act, as she seemingly felt “discomfort” after allegedly being touched without consent.

“The video shows Ms. Lively leaning away and repeatedly asking for the characters to just talk,” Lively’s lawyers continued. “Any woman who has been inappropriately touched in the workplace will recognize Ms. Lively’s discomfort. They will recognize her attempts at levity to try to deflect the unwanted touching. No woman should have to take defensive measures to avoid being touched by their employer without their consent.”

As previously reported by The Blast, footage from the “It Ends With Us” set, shared by Baldoni’s team and obtained by news outlets, captures a scene where Lively, 37, and Baldoni, 40, film a slow-motion montage of their characters, Lily and Ryle, dancing without dialogue.

In the footage, the two are seen chatting out of character and exchanging jokes about Baldoni’s nose and Lively’s spray tan.

In Lively’s legal complaint, she alleged that during a “slow dance scene,” Baldoni “leaned forward and slowly dragged his lips from her ear and down her neck and saying, ‘It smells so good.'”

However, the video shows Lively seemingly joking about possibly getting her spray tan on Baldoni, to which he laughs and responds, “It smells good.”

After releasing the 10-minute clip, Baldoni’s team announced plans to launch a website aimed at addressing and disproving Lively’s claims of behind-the-scenes misconduct on the set of “It Ends With Us.”

“Justin Baldoni and the team have nothing to hide and this once more proves this,” the statement shared with People Magazine reads. “It’s important for everyone involved to “have the right to defend themselves with the truth,” and this is what we will be continuing to show with the upcoming website containing all correspondence as well as relevant videos that quash her claims.”

The planned website will reportedly provide detailed correspondence and additional videos to counter Lively’s accusations.

Baldoni has also filed a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist, alleging defamation, extortion, and many other claims.

The actor had earlier hit the New York Times with a $250 million libel lawsuit, alleging that the publication helped push Lively’s “unverified and self-serving narrative.”

Shortly after Baldoni’s $400 million lawsuit, Lively’s lawyers fired back at the actor and accused him of using “DARVO” tactics against his co-star.

“This latest lawsuit from Justin Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and its associates is another chapter in the abuser playbook,” Lively’s lawyers said, per the Daily Mail.

They continued, “This is an age-old story: A woman speaks up with concrete evidence of sexual harassment and retaliation, and the abuser attempts to turn the tables on the victim. This is what experts call DARVO. Deny. Attack. Reverse Victim Offender.”

The lawyers added that Baldoni’s lawsuit was “retaliation” for Lively’s earlier filed lawsuit and that his legal team is “trying to shift the narrative to Ms. Lively by falsely claiming that she seized creative control and alienated the cast from Mr. Baldoni.”
