On Wednesday, Polo G took to his IG story to say:
“I wanna be a streamer one day too I heard they pay better than rap 😭”
The rapper’s Instagram comments brought the debate back regarding whether streamers earn more than rappers. Many supporters encouraged Polo G to explore streaming. However, others argued that pursuing it solely for the money might not lead to success.

From Polo G’s comments to a viral Airbnb clash, the conversation around rappers transitioning to streaming continues to spark strong opinions. This debate has continued as streamers like Kai Cenat, Adin Ross, and iShowSpeed have gained success, popularity and tons of money.
Earlier this month, a viral altercation between rappers Fivio Foreign, Lil Tjay, and streamer Plaqueboy Max sparked the debate. Social media users felt Max was disrespected when he asked the rappers to stop smoking.

Another Instagram user @iam.isiah said, “If you’re not a A-list artist like a Drake, Kendrick, Nicki Minaj, Latto you don’t hold any weight against streamers rappers (aren’t) prominent anymore.”
