Tina Knowles Calls Out Target For Cutting Back On DEI Programs
Knowles didn’t hold back in a now-deleted Instagram post, calling out Target for ditching its diversity goals and following other big-name brands by scaling back on DEI programs. Additionally, Target announced plans to back off its promise to hire diverse talent and create more opportunities.
Tina Knowles made it clear that she will be keeping her coins and shopping elsewhere because of the retail stores decision.

Target Addresses Decision To Roll Back On DEI Programs
Target addressed its decision to reduce DEI initiatives in a statement on Friday, January 24. The company announced plans to wrap up its three-year diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.
CNN reports that Target revealed plans to step away from all external diversity-focused surveys including one by the Human Rights Campaign, an LGBTQ advocacy group. The company also mentioned that it’s reevaluating corporate partnerships and switching up its supplier diversity team to supplier engagement. Although the full effects of these moves aren’t clear yet, the company stressed its ongoing commitment to promoting inclusion and creating a sense of belonging for employees and customers.
