Boxing Results: Isaac Cruz Victorious Over Fierro

Former WBA 140-lb champion Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz (27-3-1, 18 KOs) looked like his old self, defeating the tough Angel Fierro (23-3-2, 18 KOs) by a competitive 10-round unanimous decision on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Fierro showed an excellent chin today because he was tagged plenty in this fight, but he took the best that Cruz could dish out. He just kept walking forward, looking to land back with his own.

Cruz, 26, pressed the entire fight, landing hard shots to the head and body of Fierro. The rounds had a back-and-forth flow to them, with both fighters loading up on power shots and having little problem landing. Cruz’s ability to take punishment hasn’t changed since his fight against Gervonta Davis in 2021.

The scores

96-94
97-93
98-92

Pitbull was coming off a 12 round split decision loss to Jose ‘Rayo’ Valenzuela on August 3rd last year in Los Angeles. He chose not to try and avenge that loss by opting to refuse the rematch, which didn’t play well with the fans

This win keeps Pitbull as one of the viable opponents for fighters like Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia to face in 2026. Both of them are busy on Turki Al-Sheikh’s cards in 2025, but they could look in Cruz’s direction next year.
