Manchester United travel to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Women’s Super League (WSL) this weekend and will be determined to keep the pace in the title race.
Chelsea are the current leaders with a healthy seven-point cap with 12 games played. They beat London rivals Arsenal 1-0 last time out to put one hand on this season’s trophy.
However, United are also in good form having beat Manchester City in recent weeks and are on a four-game winning run in the league. They will need to win every game between now and the end of the season if they are to have any hope of beating Chelsea to the title.
Here, 90min have previewed this weekend’s WSL clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium…

January signing Lize Kop made her debut for Spurs over the weekend as she started against Crystal Palace ahead of Becky Spencer. Drew Spence has been out with a knock but Robert Vilahamn indicated she would be back for their rescheduled FA Cup game against Everton midweek, which bodes well for the weekend’s game.
Eveliina Summanen, Ella Morris and Kit Graham all remain sidelined for Spurs.

Geyse has been absent from the squad in recent weeks following a family tragedy and she returned to Brazil to be with her loved ones. Last week, Marc Skinner explained they expect to have her back before the Tottenham game but, understandably, that is not definite and will be played by ear.
Hannah Blundell is a longer-term absentee as she is pregnant and expecting her first child. Evie Rabjohn was pictured training away from the group as she continues her recovery from an ACL injury sustained last summer.

United’s record against Spurs suggests this should be a comfortable victory for the Red Devils. They have already beaten the London club 3-0 in the WSL this season and are in good form.
Spurs will also contest their rescheduled FA Cup tie against Everton on Wednesday night, which means United will be the fresher side having had a full week of training. It’s difficult to see anything other than a United win on this occasion.
