You Can Now Watch Starz for Free With a YouTube TV Subscription

Starz and YouTube have entered a new partnership to give viewers access to the streamer’s premium content library for 30 days. New and existing YouTube TV and Primetime Channel subscribers qualify for the deal, which will continue through April.

This is a first-of-its-kind offer from the Google-owned platform, which renewed its multi-year agreement with Starz last year and promised new promotions.

“As Starz continues to adapt to the needs of our customers in this rapidly changing digital landscape, strategic partnerships, like this one with YouTube TV, allow us to expand our reach by introducing our premium content to new audiences,” said Alison Hoffman, president Starz Networks. “We are excited to have YouTube’s support to ensure their customers see the value of this offer just in time for the Super Bowl. This promotion further highlights the strength of the Starz brand as a complementary service.”

The goal is to increase awareness of Starz’s packed content library, which includes acclaimed original series like Outlander, Sweetpea, Power Book III: Raising Kanan and The Couple Next Door, as well as blockbuster movies like Spider-Man: No Way Home, John Wick: Chapter 4 and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. A standalone subscription for the streamer costs $11 per month.

This 30-day trial period comes just in time for audiences interested in streaming high-profile events like the Super Bowl, NBA All-Star Weekend, the kickoff of MLB season, the Oscars, March Madness and the beginning of the NBA playoffs. A monthly YouTube TV subscription grants access to these presentations and over 100 programming channels that deliver everything from local live sporting events and breaking news to hit TV shows and blockbuster movies. The service costs $83 monthly.

YouTube Primetime Channels streamline the viewing experience, allowing viewers to watch their favorite programming directly through the YouTube app. PrimeTime Channels also simplifies the entertainment viewing process by allowing users to stream multiple services in one app.

This is Starz’s latest promotion for at-home viewers. It follows three other deals featuring the premium channel: the Starz-Max bundle, Vimeo’s Starz-AMC Plus bundle, and a packaged deal with Starz and BET Plus.
