AEW creates buzz with mysterious trademark filing

It has just been revealed that AEW has filed a trademark for a potential new show. It has not been specifically stated what kind of show this could end up being, but it news came out about a trademark filed for “Parade of Champions.”

The promotion currently runs three weekly shows: Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision. Apart from this, from time to time, they have talent over for some interview-type shows away from the ring such as Hey! (Ew) with RJ City, Close up with Renee Paquette, and even Meal & a Match.

AEW has reportedly filed for two trademarks, “AEW Parade of Champions” and “Parade of Champions.” Details emerged about the trademark filing that this would be a continuing program about wrestling that can be accessed via several different means. It also mentioned showcasing live wrestling performances.

The description of the trademark can be seen below.

A similar description can be found for the second trademark. It remains to be seen if this could be for a pay-per-view or weekly show, or one of those conducted out of the ring.

Jon Moxley recently filed for an interesting trademark following his AEW takeover

Another interesting trademark was filed recently by Jon Moxley, and this may seemingly play a part in his current booking on the promotion. He has hinted at the name of his new faction.

Before the other two members came in, Mox and Bryan Danielson built the Blackpool Combat Club with William Regal. Now that he was no longer aligned with both Regal and Danielson, the AEW World Champion may have decided it was time to make changes.

It has been reported by attorney Michael E. Dockins that Jon Moxley filed for “Death Riders” under the category of Goods and Services. The former WWE Champion has often incorporated the term in his persona, but this seems like the name of his current faction. However, this has yet to be officially used by the company.

Only time will tell what impact these trademarks will have, and how these will impact the future of the company’s programming.
