Berinchyk 134.6 Vs. Keyshawn 134.2 – Weigh-in Results For Friday

WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk shoved Keyshawn Davis after the young, uppity challenger disrespected him by intentionally positioning himself in front of him to pose to the crowd immediately after they’d weighed in for their headliner clash this Friday night on February 14th at Madison Square Garden Theater in New York.

It’s perfectly understandable why Berinchyk shoved Keyshawn. He moved in front of him to keep the fans and media from seeing him. He was lucky that the champion didn’t swat him in the back of the head for his disrespect.

Weigh-in Results

– Denys Berinchyk 134.6 vs. Keyshawn Davis 134.2

A badly emaciated-looking Keyshawn looked in terrible physical shape, showing signs of a person that had taken his body to the brink to drain down to make the 135-lb limit for his title challenge against Berinchyk.

Many believe that Keyshawn is a welterweight in disguise and is killing himself to stay at lightweight so he can enjoy a massive size advantage after he rehydrates into the 150s. His death-like appearance is reminiscent of how Devin Haney used to look in his last few fights at lightweight before being forced to move up to 140.

At today’s weigh-in, Davis’ physical appearance showed that he’s pushing his body to the limits to artificially stay lightweight. He won’t be able to do this much longer before being forced to move up to 140 or 147.

Davis had been spoiling for trouble since yesterday with his behavior during the final press conference, accusing Berinchyk (19-0, 9 KOs) of sending an anonymous fruit basket filled with bananas and watermelons. Many people believe that Keyshawn sent the basket to himself and made up the whole ruse to create fake drama. The way Davis was acting during the press conference looked theatrical and not authentic. His method acting skills weren’t up to par for his character to be believable.

“He’s getting knocked out in the first round. If I’m rattled, he’s still getting knocked out in the first round. This is only my first world title. I’ve got other weight classes I can touch. The businessman is here for great entertainment,” said Keyshawn Davis to Top Rank Boxing after weighing in.
