Lively initially filed a lawsuit where she accused Baldoni of sexual harassment on the set of the film. However, he denied it and filed a $400 million countersuit where he accused her of using her star power to usurp his movie and destroy his career.
Since Blake Lively’s lawsuit, there has been intense back-and-forth between her camp and Justin Baldoni’s camp, leading to a request for a gag order.

Blake Lively And Justin Baldoni Have Been Involved In A Legal Standoff
The “imminent” subpoena comes as part of an ongoing legal dispute regarding the nature of events that seemingly took place on the set of “It Ends With Us” between Lively and Baldoni.
Lively filed a 10-claim complaint against Baldoni, alleging that he sexually harassed her on the set of the film, as well as also mastermind a “coordinated effort to destroy her reputation.”
Amongst other things, she also claimed that the actor-director “routinely degraded” her by “finding back-channel ways of criticizing her body and weight,” narrating an instance where he called her trainer behind her back just 4 months after she’d given birth to her fourth child, implying that he “wanted her to lose weight in two weeks.”

However, Baldoni distanced himself from the allegations and hit Lively and her husband with a $400 million lawsuit. He accused the actress of using her celebrity power to hijack his film and attempt to tarnish his image.

New Footage Sparks Debate About Blake Lively’s Claims
The dispute between Lively And Baldoni seemed to raise more eyebrows after new footage surfaced that seemingly questioned the actress’s sexual harassment allegations.
In her complaint, Lively alleged that Baldoni sexually harassed her while filming a dance scene by dragging his lips down her neck and telling her, “It smells so good.”
In her filing, she insisted that nobody overheard him say it because the romantic montage was silent, and their microphones were switched off.
However, a recent clip released by the Daily Mail showed that Baldoni’s microphone wasn’t switched off, and their conversation somewhat contradicts Lively’s claims.
The tapes showed both actors being friendly with each other. They even joked about the size of Baldoni’s nose and how they spend time with their spouses.

Around the seven-minute mark, the actor indeed told Lively that she smelled good, but it was only in response to her quip about her spray tan.
Although Baldoni did nuzzle Lively’s neck as part of the romantic scene, he mentioned to her that he was probably getting his beard on her, and she responded by saying she was getting her spray tan on him.
Then he quips back, “It smells good,” before both laugh, and she tells him the scent actually comes from her body makeup.
Blake Lively And Ryan Reynolds Make Gag Order Request
Following the release of the clip, Lively and Reynolds made a shocking legal request.
According to TMZ, the actress asked that a judge gag Baldoni’s attorneys, led by Bryan Freedman, alleging he had made false statements about the case.
The couple asked the court to issue a protective order to prevent Freedman from engaging in “improper conduct,” including going on an alleged “harassing and retaliatory media campaign” against them.
The couple claims Freedman is “violating court rules that stop a lawyer from making statements to the press that are irrelevant to a case and might prejudice the jury.”

They also mentioned the released unedited clips of the instance Baldoni sexually harassed her, saying it “corroborates, to the letter, what Ms. Lively described” in her initial complaint back in December.
Justin Baldoni Sources Slammed The Gag Order Request
Sources close to Baldoni expressed frustration over Lively’s request for a gag order, telling the Daily Mail that it is “grossly unfair” given the fallout he has faced.
According to the sources, Baldoni has lost three job opportunities and hundreds of millions of dollars following what they describe as defamatory allegations published by The New York Times.
“All Justin wants to do is release videos and text messages to prove the allegations are false,” the sources said.
They added, “It is unbelievable that Blake Lively would go on a takedown campaign against Justin and then immediately turn around and say she wants a gag order so that Justin can’t defend himself.”
