Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Britney Spears first addressed those who question and criticize the many dance videos she posts.

“So many people had something to say about me expressing myself through art,” the 43-year-old wrote, adding, “I think a lot of you fail to forget I still have nerve damage on the right side of my whole body due to a horrible experience I had where I was placed somewhere against my will, and had to literally sit in a chair 10 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 4 months.”

In her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” Spears publicly spoke on the harrowing ordeal of being held against her will at a psychiatric hospital.

According to the singer, the act occurred after she refused to do a dance step during rehearsals for the since-canceled “Britney: Domination” Las Vegas residency show.

Understanding the incredulous nature of it all, Spears continued, “I don’t expect anyone to believe me, but I have the schedules [of] all of it! It was horrible what they did, and [how they] hurt my body.”

Spears Uses Dance As Part Of An Unorthodox ‘Healing Process’

After noting she deleted many of her dance videos for coming off less than “pleasant” in them, Spears defiantly stated she was ready to move forward.

“I decided today [to start] my healing process,” the “Brightest Morning Star” singer expressed, “but what I don’t show is my right arm and stiff hand for the first hour after I wake up every morning. [I’m] not able to move [them] forward because of an extremely sick plan made by ignorant people.”

Spears claims she was eventually helped in her time of need by a rabbi from The Kabbalah Centre in Los Angeles, but extensive damage – which she isn’t ready to share – had already been done.

“Those people [at psychiatric care] hurt me and I will never come forward and talk about what they did,” Spears exclaimed.

Because of what she’s been through, Britney Spears now says her for performing has all but burned out.

“Can you imagine me performing on stage with a childlike heart [and] feeling like I’m somebody after they made me feel less than nothing,” she questioned.

“I remember the feeling of performing, and feeling like a superwoman,” Spears further explained, linking her past self to “a bad-a-s [performer] like Beyoncé.”

Though the memories of her superstar days linger, Spears says she’s now the “opposite” version of who she used to be; someone “extremely shy” who prefers to “do videos” from the comfort of home.

Her fire now, Spears claims, is targeted at those who caused her pain.

“I have a dream of spitting in those people’s faces who did that to me,” she admits, adding, “I miss my fans, but if you read my book you will kinda understand [those people] ruined me.”

Early in December, Spears shocked fans when she took to Instagram to claim she moved to Mexico to escape the paparazzi.

Though her words seemed convincing, it was revealed through TMZ that the singer had only been joking. As of today, Spears is still a resident of the United States.
