Erin Lichy SLAMS Brynn Whitfield for Doubling Down After ‘RHONY’ Finale!
Erin Lichy is firing back at Brynn Whitfield after the dramatic season 15 finale of Real Housewives of New York City, and she’s not holding back.
During a January 28 appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Erin, 37, opened up about how Brynn’s interview with Rolling Stone, published on January 22, left her feeling “triggered” and furious. “It triggered the f— out of me,” Erin said, explaining she “lost it” after reading the article.
Erin was particularly taken aback by Brynn’s reference to her as “a sister” in the interview.
“Like we’re still doubling down and calling me like a sister when you hadn’t spoken to me at all,” Erin explained. “Not only [not] spoken to me, blocked me.” Erin speculated that Brynn had blocked her after a past text conversation where Ubah Hassan’s name had come up.
The tension between Brynn and the Real Housewives of New York City cast reached a boiling point following the season 15 finale, which aired earlier this month. While on a vacation to Puerto Rico, Ubah made a comment suggesting that Brynn had slept with someone to land a spot on the show.
Later in the episode, Brynn opened up about her past sexual assault to the women, claiming that Ubah had known about it, which Ubah denied. Brynn later admitted she wasn’t sure if Ubah had been aware of the trauma when they had discussed it over the phone.
Erin shared that Brynn had apparently been upset after Erin mentioned that Ubah was still hurt by the situation. “I guess she didn’t like that I was saying that Ubah was upset because she was the one who’s supposed to be upset, I guess,” Erin said.
“So, she blocked me. I didn’t speak to her for months until my father passed away [in October 2024].”
Although Erin says Brynn has since reached out to her, she wasn’t ready to engage. “I was like, ‘I’m sorry, but I don’t have the capacity right now to have these conversations. You blocked me like as though I did something wrong.’” Erin added that Brynn apologized, but Erin was still frustrated. “How are we sisters? Like, you hate me, apparently. I’m blocked,” she continued.
“I talk to my sister every single day. That’s not like my version of sisterhood here.”
As for Brynn’s potential return to Real Housewives of New York City for season 16, Erin didn’t offer a clear answer, but did express doubts about being able to trust Brynn again.
“How do you, how do you like overlook something like the finale?” Erin questioned. She also believes that none of the Real Housewives of New York City cast is currently in contact with Brynn following the dramatic revelations.
Despite the ongoing drama, Erin added that she wishes Brynn well. “I really, truly from the bottom of my heart, wish her the best. I really, really do,” Erin said.
“She’s got qualities that are incredible, and she’s really intelligent, and she’s very charismatic. It’s a shame for someone with all these talents to not go far in life.”
The Real Housewives of New York City airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
