Marvel Rivals is the new hero shooter that launched in December and has been a big hit among gamers during its abbreviated season 0. As the game gets ready for Marvel Rivals Season 1, in a few days, players will get their first look at Marvel’s most iconic superhero team, the Fantastic Four.Â
A trailer to show off the Fantastic Four is set to arrive on Monday, Feb. 6, at 11 a.m. ET/ 8 a.m. PT, according to a Thursday tweet from the official Marvel Rivals account. Since all four members of the group — Mr. Fantastic, the Human Torch, the Invisible Woman and the Thing — are shown in the accompanying picture, it’s likely all will make their debut at the same time, though when that’ll be, exactly, is still unknown.Â
We don’t know a lot about the four heroes yet, including their specific abilities, but Marvel Rivals data miners who are combing through the game have already found a few details. The Human Torch and Mr. Fantastic will be part of the Duelist class, which means the two of them will use their abilities to deal some heavy damage. The Thing will likely be a Vanguard, also known as a tank, that will take up all the damage. It’s likely the Invisible Woman will be a Strategist, making use of her powers to support teammates and get the jump on competitors.Â
The Fantastic Four will be the first new characters on the already packed Marvel Rivals roster, which includes legendary figures like Spider-Man, Wolverine and Captain America, along with lesser-known ones such as Luna Snow, Peni Parker and a new fan favorite, Jeff the Land Shark. This release will likely set up the standard procedure for how developer NetEase Games introduces new characters.
There’s also a possibility that a new map could be added to the game, with New York City referenced in the announcement tweet. It also wouldn’t be a surprise to find that as new characters appear, the rest of the roster gets changed to make sure the game stays balanced.Â
Marvel Rivals is free to play on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series consoles.Â
