Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the added 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the were Ellaktor SA (AT:), which rose 9.64% or 0.19 points to trade at 2.16 at the close. Meanwhile, HELLENiQ ENERGY Holdings SA (AT:) added 3.76% or 0.27 points to end at 7.46 and Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:) was up 3.25% or 0.26 points to 8.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iktinos Hellas (AT:), which fell 2.38% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.33 at the close. Ekter (AT:) declined 2.20% or 0.04 points to end at 1.78 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:) was down 2.04% or 0.06 points to 2.63.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 73 to 45 and 22 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.74% or 19.61 to $2,634.29 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.05% or 0.73 to hit $70.35 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.93% or 0.68 to trade at $73.53 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.31% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 107.76.
