Jennifer Aydin Responds To Being Fired From Housewives Cruise After Disgusting Jersey Mike’s Rant
Jennifer Aydin is breaking her silence after being dropped from the Housewives Cruise following her controversial Jersey Mike’s airport incident.
The past few weeks have been anything but smooth sailing for Jennifer Aydin. After her controversial Jersey Mike’s airport video went viral over New Year’s, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star has faced backlash and career consequences, including being removed from the Fans at Sea Ultimate Housewives Cruise. Now, Jennifer is breaking her silence and explaining why she’s taking the situation in stride.
Jennifer Addresses Being Dropped From the Cruise
Jennifer was originally slated to join Teresa Giudice and Dolores Catania on the Fans at Sea Ultimate Housewives Cruise this September. However, the viral video of her heated encounter at a Jersey Mike’s sandwich shop in the airport led to the cruise line cutting ties with her. The company has since announced that a surprise guest will take her place.
In an interview with Us Weekly, Jennifer revealed she learned about being dropped while on vacation. “Somebody had messaged me [while on vacation] that I was cut from the cruise. I had no idea,” she shared.
Jennifer explained that her manager intentionally delayed telling her the news. “My manager didn’t want to tell me. She didn’t want anything to ruin my trip. Then I went to the website, and I saw my name wasn’t there. And you know what? I took it like a champ.”
She also revealed that she didn’t argue with the cruise line’s decision, understanding it was a business move.
“This is a business and this is their business, and I do not want them to receive any backlash because of me,” she said. “The cruise was a fun idea for me because I love an opportunity to engage with the fans, but it’s all good.”
Jennifer acknowledged that the timing of the cruise wasn’t ideal for her family anyway. “The kids are going back to school that week, and my kids were already complaining that I had committed to doing it,” she added.
“Everything happens for a reason. I understand that this is totally business, and I respect the cruise’s decision.”
Cruise Line Issues Statement
The Fans at Sea team also addressed Jennifer’s removal in a statement, emphasizing that their decision wasn’t personal.
“This decision was not personal nor an act of canceling anyone,” the cruise line stated. “At Fans at Sea, we believe in second chances and personal growth. Our priority is to create a drama-free, fun-filled experience for everyone. To ensure this, we made adjustments to keep the cruise enjoyable and welcoming for all guests.”
Jennifer Reflects on the Viral Video
While the fallout from the Jersey Mike’s incident has been significant, Jennifer maintains that her frustrations during the airport ordeal were shared by others in line.
“I will call a spade a spade. That staff was very highly dismissive, not just to me, to everybody on that line. Everybody was frustrated,” she explained.
However, Jennifer admitted that sharing the video was a mistake.
“I’m one that takes full responsibility and accountability for my actions. When I feel I’m wrong, I should not have posted it,” she said. “I just want people to know that that was coming from a very frustrated mom who just wanted to make her flight with her children.”
Despite the controversy, Jennifer appears ready to move forward, accepting her part in the situation and understanding the consequences. Fans can catch her on earlier seasons of The Real Housewives of New Jersey streaming now on Peacock.
