Justin Baldoni And Ryan Reynolds’ First Text Conversation Revealed

Before their high-profile legal battle erupted, Justin Baldoniand Ryan Reynolds appeared to have a cordial and respectful relationship, as revealed in their first-ever text conversation.

The newly uncovered exchange, which surfaced on Baldoni’s new website and was launched amid ongoing lawsuits between Justin Baldoni, Ryan Reynolds, and Blake Lively, paints a stark contrast to the bitter courtroom fight that now defines their relationship.

On February 28, 2023, Baldoni reached out to Reynolds to try and break the ice and start a friendship, according to the documents shared on Baldoni’s new website.

“I asked Blake for your number well over a month ago and have wanted to text you for a while now, but my good ol’ nerves got the best of me,” he began in his lengthy text.

“Emily and I have a very small circle. We live out in the country in [sic] and pretty much just hang out with each other. We’ve known all our closest friends for years, and I don’t really have any close female friends that my wife isn’t also friends with, let alone married ones. And so I guess this is just an awkward text to say I’d like to be friends.”

In response, Reynolds said, “What a loving and generous message. Thank you. We’re both looking forward to getting to know you and your family better. We’re also big fans over here. Since before we met, and more-so after.”

He went on, “You’ve been a wonderful collaborator with [sic], and that meant a great deal — to both of us. Being a stand-up person is everything, and you’ve been just that since day one. Thank you.”

The “Deadpool” actor later told Baldoni he “hit the backpack” with Lively. “She literally passes on every film and filmmaker all the time,” he said. “But I know one thing — and I speak from a deep wellspring of experience here, having her in your court behind the scenes as a creative is invaluable.”

He concluded, “I happen to adore you, Justin.”

Before their high-profile legal battle, Baldoni and Lively appeared to have a collaborative and enthusiastic working relationship as they developed the script for “It Ends with Us.”

During the hours-long meeting, Lively and Baldoni continued refining the script. Just as the meeting was coming to a close, a mega-celebrity friend of Reynolds and Lively entered the room and also began applauding Lively’s rewrites.
