Harry Kane was pleased with Bayern Munich’s performance as they take a 2-1 lead back to Germany.
The Bundesliga giants ground out a tough win at Celtic Park, with Kane getting the eventual winner.
It was a nervy start for the visitors as they seemed to go behind 30 seconds in, but for a late offside flag saving them.
From there, Vincent Kompany’s side took control, opening the scoring just before half-time through Michael Olise.
Kane then doubled the advantage soon after the break, striking a sweet volley from a corner with his weak foot.
Celtic did pull one back late on, which will put an edge on the return edge in Munich.
Speaking after the game, Kane said: “[Our performance] was okay. Whenever you win a game like this, you’re always pleased because it’s not an easy place to come.
“There were areas of the game we could have done better” 📈

“There were definitely areas in the game in which we could have done better and we’ll need to improve for next week, but overall we scored at the right times.
“They put us under pressure at the end and we had to stay strong, which we did.
“We knew the atmosphere would help them at the start of the game, and they nearly scored after a minute. We had to be patient, we knew we’d have more of the ball. Sometimes you need a bit of special quality to open a game like this up.”
Kompany added: “It’s cliche to say, but it’s the first half of the game. Overall, it’s a really great result.
“The fans haven’t seen many losses here, especially in Europe, so we appreciate the importance of the game and the victory.
“We’re also pretty decent at home so we’ll look to play on that as well. We have an important game on Saturday, so we’ll switch our focus to that.
“I know this place, I know it transcends performance sometimes. We dealt really well with it for long spells of the game, didn’t let the game go crazy. The last 10 minutes we had to defend and we did that well.
“Of course, you can feel in those moments, if the game comes alive it is a special place.”
