The Rapper Lost ‘$2 Billion In One Day’
In 2022, West suffered a devastating financial setback, losing “$2 billion in one day” due to a combination of factors, including the end of his partnership with Adidas after the backlash he faced on social media for his antisemitic comments.
At the time, the father-of-four claimed he was on the verge of bankruptcy, with his finances in disarray as a number of brands severed ties with him over his antisemitic outbursts.
However, it appears that the rapper began making a remarkable recovery from last year, telling TMZ that he had to pour “everything I had” into a $7 million Superbowl advert for his fashion brand and his album, “Vultures.”

“I’m just being honest with y’all. I was two months from going bankrupt, and I put everything I had into it [the album and the Super Bowl advert],” he told the news outlet.
His Superbowl ad seemingly paid off in helping him clear his inventory as he shared a screenshot of one of his assistant’s text informing him that the total sales amounted to $19.3 million.
West disclosed at the time that as his wealth began to plummet, he and his wife, Bianca Censori, relocated to Italy, where they began recovery efforts.
“We moved to Italy. We moved to the factories, and we survived. We survived through the cancellation. We’re back number one,” he said.
Kanye West Is Working On A New Album
The “Carnival” rapper is already setting his sights on the next project – his new album, “Bully.” West took to Instagram to share clips of him “training” his daughter, North, in the studio after revealing she made him “love music again.”
In one black and white clip, North was shown around a huge warehouse before sitting dt a table with a microphone and speakers.
In a second clip, she can be seen with headphones on and a microphone to her mouth as she plays around with a sampling keyboard.
He captioned the videos “Training” and “TRAINING 2.0” before going on to show just how proud of her he is in another post where he shared a black-and-white photo of her sitting in the studio.

The Rapper Reunited With His Kids In Tokyo
In addition to North, West is the father of three other children, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, with ex-wife Kim Kardashian, whom he split from in 2022.
Kardashian implied the rapper was an absent father to their kids in a November conversation with her best friend Zoe Winkler, where she explained that she felt like a single parent.
According to the Daily Mail, the “Jesus is King” rapper has been globetrotting the world with his wife Bianca Censori and has stayed away from the country because he reportedly fears being drawn into the sex crime controversy surrounding his former friend Sean “Diddy” Combs.
However, he was recently seen reuniting with his children, except North, at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Tokyo.

Kanye West Faces Monthly Penalties For Unpaid Property Taxes
Despite West’s reported wealth, the rapper has incurred a massive property tax debt on at least six of his properties, totaling about $365,000 in unpaid taxes.
Although the exact timeline for the unpaid taxes remains unclear, reports suggest West’s tax bill has been compounded by monthly penalties to the tune of $3,272.
According to the U.S. Sun, the “Donda” rapper will also have to pay up to $82,662 by April 10 on some of his Los Angeles properties. Otherwise, the Los Angeles County Treasurer and Tax Collector will punish him more financially.
It remains unknown if he intends to settle the debt or contest the charges amid his prolonged absence from the country.
