Lizzo has successfully fended off a harassment and discrimination lawsuit filed by her former stylist, Asha Daniels.
Daniels alleged in the lawsuit that she was exposed to a “sexualized, racially charged, and illegal work environment” while working with Lizzo on tour. However, a California court has dismissed Lizzo from the lawsuit, noting Asha has no standing to sue the singer.
Meanwhile, Lizzo seems to be focused on herself as she’s been showing off her dramatic weight loss on social media while slamming ozempic rumors.

Lizzo Scores Legal Victory In Harassment Lawsuit
According to reports, a California judge dismissed Lizzo from a sexual harassment lawsuit brought against her by her ex-stylist.
In September 2023, Asha Daniels accused the “About Damn Time” singer’s management team of fostering a “sexualized, racially charged, and illegal” work environment while working for her Big Grrrl Big Tour company.
In the suit, she also alleged to have been physically and verbally abused by the star’s wardrobe manager, Amanda Nomura, claiming that she tossed her into a cloth rack where she injured her foot.
However, Judge Fernando L. Aenlle-Rocha granted a partial motion to dismiss several of Daniels’s claims on the basis that she worked for Lizzo while on tour in Europe and not in the U.S.

“These allegations do not establish plausibly that any portion of plaintiff’s claim arose from work performed in the United States or qualifying territories,” Aenlle-Rocha said, per Page Six.
The judge also stated that Daniels failed to show any evidence that she actually worked overtime for Lizzo, having claimed she didn’t get paid for her overtime hours.
While Lizzo has been freed from the lawsuit, her Big Grrrl Big Touring company remains a defendant.

Lizzo Won’t Stop Fighting The ‘False’ Allegations
Lizzo, born Melissa Jefferson, has had to endure a barrage of lawsuits from several former staff, including three of her ex-backup dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, who accused her of sexual harassment, fat shaming, and a hostile work environment.
Some of their claims have since been tossed out by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Mark H. Epstein, including Davis’ fat-shaming allegations and dancers forced to be on “hold” despite not being on tour. But the case will still continue to trial.
However, a source recently told the New York Post that the “Truth Hurts” hitmaker won’t back down in her effort to fight off the “false” allegations.

“There’s a reason that Lizzo continues to fight long after most public figures would have settled – because these allegations are false and can’t be allowed to stand,” the insider told the news outlet. “She is not going to stop fighting until every single one of these ridiculous smears is dismissed.”

She Denied All The Allegations Brought Against Her By Former Employees
Since Lizzo’s harassment lawsuit made headlines, fans have been divided, with many shocked that the singer could be accused of such things.
She has, however, maintained her innocence amid the accusations despite being slammed by people online who claimed that her attitude toward her crew was awful.
In one instance, the singer described the allegations as “false,” “unbelievable,” and “too outrageous.”
Lizzo also claimed that the former employees had “already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional.”
The Singer Walked Back Her Remark About Taking A ‘Gap Year’
In the heat of her legal controversies, Lizzo released a statement saying she was going to take a “gap year” to “protect my peace,” but that doesn’t seem to be the case again.
“Gap year? Girl, who said gap year?” she told Fortune’s Deputy Editorial Director Ellie Austin. “I’ve just been working, working, working. You may not see me, but I’ve been working.”
Going by her recent social media posts, she appears to have been putting in the work on her body, as she’s recently been showing off her massive weight loss.
Just after Thanksgiving Day, the “Cuz I Love You” singer took to TikTok to flaunt the figure-fitting, off-the-shoulder dress with orange hibiscus flowers outfit she wore to host the celebration for her loved ones.

Lizzo Slams Ozempic Allegations
The singer’s new body goals haven’t been free of controversial takes as Internet users continue to allege she used Ozempic.
Back in September, she uploaded a short reel on her Instagram page as she posed wearing a colorful, satin robe while her hair was pulled back into a low up do.
Overlying the video towards the bottom, she added text that read, “When you finally get ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit.”
She then shared a screenshot of a comment from a social media user where they accused her of taking ozempic or “coke,” to which she replied writing, “Whyyyy do u follow me?” followed by four crying face emojis.

In a March interview with The New York Times, she opened up about her weight loss journey and told the outlet that she has “been methodical, losing weight very slowly.”
“I don’t really see it because if anyone who’s on a natural weight-loss journey knows, losing weight is actually the slowest thing in the world, and you don’t really notice it until you notice it,” she admitted.
