Luke Littler says ‘time to get back at it’ in World Championship match vs Ian White

Luke Littler has told fans he is ready and refreshed to face Ian White in the third round of the PDC World Darts Championship on Saturday.

In a post hours before his return to action following a week-long break, Littler described his Christmas festivities as “quality”.

“Now time to get back at it,” added the 17-year-old, who is the bookmakers’ favourite for the title behind defending champion Luke Humphries.

Having become the first darts player to surpass a million followers on Instagram, Littler now has more than 1.4 million fans on the platform.

The sporting sensation published a photo of himself taking part in a special edition of cherished darts TV show Bullseye on Tuesday.

Promoting the episode, which was shown on Christmas Day, Littler showed himself on screen alongside former England cricketer Freddie Flintoff.

“Can never have enough darts on the TV, that’s for sure,” he said. “Loved being a part of the Bullseye Christmas special… merry Christmas, everyone.”

What time is Luke Littler vs Ian White?

Littler’s showdown with White, who is a huge underdog, is expected to start after 9.30pm GMT on Saturday December 28 2024.

The 54-year-old world number 57 has claimed he regularly beat Littler’s grandfather, Phil, during his early days in the sport in Runcorn, where Littler was born.

World number 15 Chris Dobey takes on an opponent three places below him, Josh Rock, in the first match of the evening session at London’s Alexandra Palace, which starts at 7pm.

Three-time champion Michael van Gerwen takes centre stage immediately before Littler and White, meeting Brendan Dolan.
