Humanitarian workers in the Democratic Republic of Congo rushed to tend to the dire needs of those affected by the violence caused by the Rwanda-backed M23 group’s incursion into the DRC. Provisional figures estimate that hundred have been killed in the space of a few days, with 3,000 people left injured, and many more at suffering from disease.
