Manchester United survived going a goal down early on and having defender Patrick Dorgu sent off before the break to rally and beat struggling Ipswich 3-2 at Old Trafford.
Harry Maguire was the hero in the end as his header gave Ruben Amorim three much-needed points.
Dorgu and Andre Onana got in a mix-up at the back early on to gift Jaden Philogene a tap-in but United responded to lead through a Sam Morsy own goal and Matthijs de Ligt’s scrambled finish.

But when Dorgu saw red for a high chalenge on Omari Hutchinson, and Philogene curled a speculative second past Onana to level at the break, it looked like another tough night for Amorim.
But Maguire headed in to seal the win and leave Ipswich in deep trouble, five points behind Wolves and safety.
The opening goal was a shambles as Dorgu played the ball past an out-of-position Onana to gift January signing Philogene a goal.
United rarely threatened from open play but as at Everton last weekend found a response through Bruno Fernandes’ boot. First his wicked free-kick was thumped in by Morsy before a corner from the Portuguese was eventually turned in by De Ligt.
Dorgu’s challenge was a bad one and after a VAR review he walked, and Onana was out of position again when left flat-footed by Philogene’s cross that snaked in.
Maguire’s header was the first time United had scored three goals from a set-piece in the Premier League since 2016 and for all of Ipswich’s possession they rarely threatened a leveller.
