Ballon d’Or winner and Manchester City midfielder Rodri has returned to individual training after a long-term injury in what will come as a major boost to Pep Guardiola’s side.
Rodri suffered a ruptured knee ligament in a 2-2 draw with Arsenal in September; an injury initially believed to be season-ending.
But in a video released by City on Friday, the Spain international could be seen taking part in an individual session at the club’s Etihad Campus as he steps up his recovery in a bid to returning in time for the inaugural expanded Club World Cup, which kicks off on June 14 in the US.

The 28-year-old’s absence has been cited as a significant factor in the Premier League champions’ downturn in form this season.
City have fallen 20 points behind leaders Liverpool in the title race and were also dumped out of the Champions League at the hands of Real Madrid before the Round of 16.
Speaking at the start of the month, Guardiola said: “The most important thing for him is to recover well, he is not a teenager but he still has years to play and it’s going to happen if he recovers well.”
On Saturday, City turn their attentions to the FA Cup Fifth Round when they host Championship side Plymouth Argyle, the team who knocked out Liverpool in the previous round.
