Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool ready to fight for free agent Germany star

The Premier League’s big guns are set to fight it out for Germany midfielder Joshua Kimmich after Bayern Munich reportedly withdrew their offer of a new contract.

Kimmich’s representatives and the Bundesliga leaders have been in talks for several months and an offer was submitted by the club in a bid to secure the long-term future of one of their key players, whose current deal expires in June.

But a report in leading German daily Sport Bild suggests that, following a meeting of the club’s supervisory board on Monday, that offer to Kimmich was withdrawn with the club losing patience.

Kimmich has played a huge role in Bayern’s success since joining the club from RB Leipzig in January 2015.

The 30-year-old has won eight Bundesliga titles and one Champions League crown during his time in Bavaria, as well as appearing 97 times for his country.

Manchester United likely to lead the chase

His potential availability on a free transfer is likely to appeal to several clubs.

His mobility and control in a defensive midfield role would be ideal for Manchester United and Arsenal while he would also become an integral member of the squad should he opt to join Liverpool or Manchester City.

Barcelona is another possibility as they search for value due to their long-standing financial problems.
