Nerf’s new Loadout line, revealed Saturday as Toy Fair kicks off in New York, features interchangeable parts that make the blasters endlessly customizable.
This includes barrel attachments, scopes and other accessories that can be mixed and matched between the six Loadout blasters. Each use the newer Nerf N1 darts that debuted last summer.
The $50 Nerf Galactic Commander blaster will be available in July.
The Nerf Loadout blasters are set for release starting in July, and the headlining Galactic Commander blaster costs $50. It includes three firing modes (semi automatic, three-dart burst and automatic) along with attachments like a scope, clip storage stock and barrel attachment. Other blasters in the series will cost between $15 and $25, including the $15 Shadowspeed Recon with a 14-dart storage attachment for reloading and the $30 Cyberlight Ghost with glowing LED lights.
Each blaster has its own color theme, which can carry over to other blasters when mixing the various attachments. For instance, Nerf suggests mixing up the Frostfusion and Flarefusion sets if one wants a blaster with both ice and magma aesthetics. Nerf’s giving the Loadout line a video game theme, and while there are no official video game partners with the line, each blaster does feature vivid colors that could fit in with the styles we see in games like Fortnite or Overwatch.

The Nerf Loadout line launches alongside two new additions to the company’s Gelfire line that uses gel-based ammo that pops instead of needing to be picked up like darts.Â
The $70 Nerf Pro Gelfire Warp Speed can hold 2,000 rounds of gel-based ammo.
The $70 Nerf Pro Gelfire Warp Speed holds up to 2,000 rounds and can fire at a velocity of 150 feet per second. The $20 Gelfire Pronto holds 800 rounds and can shoot at the same velocity of 150 feet per second.
