New PlayStation State of Play Announced for Tomorrow

Sony announced Tuesday it will have another State of Play event, its regular livestream series where it details upcoming games and potentially new hardware, console features, accessories and services. The next State of Play is set for this Wednesday, Feb. 12, and while there’s some speculation about what games will be shown, it’s very likely one major game will be featured, as details about it already leaked last week.

Here’s what you need to know about the next State of Play.

When is the next PlayStation State of Play?

What will be shown at the PlayStation State of Play?

Sony said the event would have “news and updates on great games coming to PS5” but gave few specifics on what those games could be. One game that could be discussed is Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, which was recently leaked. The remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 had a new trailer published early and revealed its launch date of Aug. 28.

Another game that could get some attention is Elden Ring Nightreign. The spinoff begins its network tests on Friday and is expected to have a release date in May or June. One rumor circulating online is that Sony will reveal a new PS5 bundle featuring its hit game Astro Bot, which won many Game of the Year awards.

Fans of Grand Theft Auto are hoping that there might be more details for the upcoming GTA 6, which was recently confirmed for a fall release. And as always, Bloodborne fans are desperately hoping for a PC remake of the game, due to a recent string of Bloodborne fan projects that were taken down by Sony.
