India National Cricket Team all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy talked about the sacrifice that his father made to make a cricketer. He also mentioned that he wanted to prove some people wrong who doubted him.
Nitish Kumar Reddy made his family proud as the India National Cricket Team batter slammed a magnificent century in the ongoing fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The match between the teams is taking place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne.

Nitish Kumar Reddy became the third youngest player in the history of Indian cricket to hit a century in Australian conditions. The all-rounder came up with the sensational effort and made sure that he bailed the team out of trouble with his magical effort with the bat.

Nitish Reddy talked about his father, saying that his father left his job when he had nothing and it was his dad who believed in him. The all-rounder talked about the sacrifice and while speaking to reporters, he said:
“To be honest, my father had 25 years of service in central government. And when I was nothing, I didn’t play the state game actually. So when I was nothing, the first person who believed in me is my father. He believed in me and he resigned his job for me.
“And he left his job to take me to the ground, gym, whatever i wanted, he wants to be with me. He made a lot of sacrifice. If I have to tell, the time won’t be sufficient. But I am so grateful to have a father like him.”

Nitish Reddy, who is the leading run-getter for India in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, said that a lot of people doubted him and he wanted to prove them wrong. He said that he wants everyone to know that he is giving his best for India. He added:
“I haven’t given a thought like that. But I know some people doubted on me like he is a youngster who played IPL and can’t perform in such a big series. I know a lot of people talked about that. And I just want to make them feel wrong about what they have said about me. And that’s what I’m doing. I want to make people know that I am here to give my 100% for the Indian team.”
