QQQ Attracts $4.4B as Nasdaq Snaps Losing Streak

The Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) pulled in $4.36 billion in fresh assets yesterday as the Nasdaq index snapped its four-day losing streak.

According to etf.com daily fund flows data, the tech-heavy ETF’s total assets under management rose 1.3% to $328.7 billion.

Core equity ETFs also attracted inflows, with the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) adding $2.53 billion and the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) gaining $960.9 million. The iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) collected nearly $806 million as the broad market index eked out a 0.01% gain on Wednesday, ending a four-day run of losses.

On the outflow side, the First Trust Value Line Dividend Index Fund (FVD) experienced the largest redemption at $516.9 million, while the iShares U.S. Broker-Dealers & Securities Exchanges ETF (IAI) shed $449.9 million.

Bitcoin-related funds continued to face selling pressure with the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) losing $344.6 million amid Bitcoin’s 14% drop over the past week.

U.S. equity funds dominated asset class flows with $9.49 billion in new assets, while U.S. fixed income attracted $2.23 billion. International equity ETFs gained $1.17 billion, while currency ETFs saw outflows of $1.1 billion. Overall, ETFs recorded total net inflows of $12.4 billion for the day.
