‘RHOBH’ Star Erika Jayne Claims Sutton Stracke Likes to ‘Kick a Dog When They’re Down’
Erika Jayne isn’t holding back when it comes to the drama between her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costars, Sutton Stracke and Dorit Kemsley, and she’s ready to spill the tea on why their feud is so messy.
Recently, Sutton and Dorit exchanged sharp words, with Sutton making comments about Dorit’s frustration with her life.
In one episode, Sutton claimed Dorit seemed “angry” at her circumstances. The two women tried to revisit their conversation, but things didn’t get any smoother, leaving the dynamic between them tense.
Erika, who has had her own share of drama with Sutton, seems to think she understands what’s going on between the pair. “We’re mad at Sutton because Sutton likes to kick a dog when they’re down,” Erika told Us Weekly. “That’s a fact. I don’t think anybody looking at this without bias would say anything different.”
While Dorit has been dealing with her own personal struggles, including her ongoing split from PK Kemsley, Sutton’s actions have only added fuel to the fire. Sutton had recently advocated for sisterhood and organized a bonding activity for the group, but Erika believes her words aren’t matching her actions.
“I never bought into the sisterhood because you have to lead by example,” Erika said. “It’s great to say things, but then you have to do it and you can’t do it once. It has to be consistent and it wasn’t. It’s a lot of nice words but you have to lead. You have to put in the action.”
Erika also reflected on her own complicated relationship with Sutton. She admitted that while they’ve had ups and downs, she’s seen different sides of Sutton, making their friendship difficult at times. “Sometimes [she’s a friend]. I consider us to be on friendly ground more so now than ever,” Erika shared.
“I enjoy Sutton when she’s her bubbly, kind, fun self. I don’t enjoy her when she’s mean.”
Echoing words previously shared by her costar Bozoma Saint John, Erika summed up her take on Sutton, acknowledging the complexity of their personalities.
“I think there are times when Sutton is mean and there are times when she is just herself,” she said. “We can all be a little delusional. We’re all eccentric in our own ways. We can all be petty but there are times when we’ve all been mean to each other.”
As the drama unfolds, it’s clear that the ladies of RHOBH aren’t afraid to speak their minds, even if it means confronting uncomfortable truths. With tensions still simmering, viewers can catch all the drama every Tuesday at 8/7c on Bravo.
