Shopify has shut down Kanye West‘s fashion brand, Yeezy’s website, for violating its policy.
Yeezy.com’s shutdown came after the streetwear and footwear brand reduced its online store to just one item: a T-shirt featuring a Nazi swastika on the front.
Before the website shutdown, Kanye, who recently deactivated his X account, went on an antisemitic rant on the social media platform and expressed his love for Adolf Hitler, which offended many netizens.

Shopify, the platform hosting Yeezy.com, took the brand’s website after it disobeyed a company policy and reduced its online catalog to a T-shirt with a Nazi swastika logo on the front.
On Tuesday morning, a spokesperson for the e-commerce platform told The Hollywood Reporter that Yeezy’s website shutdown was necessary following recent developments.
The spokesperson said, “All merchants are responsible for following the rules of our platform. This merchant did not engage in authentic commerce practices and violated our terms so we removed them from Shopify.”
However, Spotify’s representative didn’t disclose which of its rules Yeezy violated. The company’s terms of service state that it will act to “restrict product or activities that we deem unsafe, inappropriate or offensive.”

Kanye West’s Super Bowl Ad
Kanya West spent millions on this bizarre Super Bowl ad promoting Yeezy then scrubbed his entire site leaving only 1 product available for purchase — a Swastika shirt pic.twitter.com/GNufbysHYN

After the ad aired, the website quickly changed, replacing its previous merchandise with a $20 T-shirt featuring a swastika. The ad itself was shot on an iPhone and featured Kanye in a dentist’s chair. It had passed legal approval and was broadcast in several local markets, including Los Angeles.
However, within an hour of airing, Yeezy.com was updated to show only the controversial T-shirt. Despite his recent antisemitic outbursts, Kanye’s ad slipped through the cracks due to its low-budget nature and lack of scrutiny for smaller local spots.

Critics argued that platforms like Shopify were making a significant PR mistake by allowing such items to be sold. This unexpected move by Kanye ignited widespread backlash, especially given the historical implications of the swastika.

Kanye’s recent antisemitic rants on X (formerly Twitter) ignited widespread outrage. His tirade included disturbing remarks that revived his previous problematic rhetoric.
Kanye made derogatory comments about Jewish people, including expressing admiration for Adolf Hitler and declaring himself a Nazi.
These remarks included chilling statements like, “I LOVE HITLER NOW WHAT B*****ES” and “IM A NAZI,” further fueling his growing reputation for antisemitism.
This was not the first time Kanye had made such inflammatory comments.
He had previously faced backlash for similar posts on Instagram and X, which cost him lucrative brand partnerships, such as Yeezy’s collaboration with Adidas.
The Rapper’s Other X Activities

Kanye’s behavior on X went beyond his antisemitic comments, encompassing a range of bizarre and inflammatory posts.
Over several days, his tirade also included misogynistic remarks, such as boasting about controlling his wife, Bianca Censori, who made a provocative fashion statement at the Grammys in a sheer dress.
The “Carnival” rapper defended the outfit, claiming he had “dominion” over her while asserting that the decision was ultimately hers.
Besides this, he also called for the release of incarcerated music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who has been in the public eye due to legal troubles, including sex trafficking charges.
Kanye’s posts ranged from critiques of Hollywood to further degrading comments about women and the media.

After infuriating many people with his offensive posts that also included pornographic content, Kanye received heavy backlash for his actions.
Eventually, Kanye opted to leave the social media platform and did so on his own terms.
According to Sky News, he announced his exit by posting, “I’m logging out of Twitter. I appreciate Elon for allowing me to vent. It has been very cathartic to use the world as a sounding board. It was like an Ayahuasca trip. Love all of you who gave me your energy and attention. Till we connect again. Good afternoon and goodnight.”
After the post, Kanye seemingly deactivated his account, which would have delighted many.
