Snoop Dogg’s Daughter Announces Unexpected Pregnancy

Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, has announced that she’s expecting her first child—an unexpected but joyful surprise for the 25-year-old reality star.

Despite describing her pregnancy as “high risk,” Cori and her fiancé, Wayne Deuce, are “so excited” to embark on this new chapter together.

The baby will mark Snoop Dogg’s eighth grandchild.

On Monday, December 23, Snoop Dogg’s only daughter, 25-year-old reality star Cori Broadus, revealed she’s expecting her first child, a baby girl, with her fiancé, Wayne Deuce.

“This baby is so unplanned, but we are soooooo blessed,” she told E! News. “I’m a high-risk pregnancy and doctors were very concerned for me and the baby, but God has his hands on me, and me and the baby are doing perfectly fine,” the 25-year-old, who was diagnosed with lupus at six years old, added. “I’m having a girl.”

Cori says Snoop Dogg and her mom, Shante Broadus, “were so excited their baby girl is having a baby.”

However, the rapper “was hoping for a grandson.”

Although the pregnancy was unexpected, Cori and her fiancé are “so excited” to embark on this new chapter and start their family.

“I’m just excited to love on my baby girl and make her feel like she’s the prettiest in the world,” she told the outlet. “Growing up, I wasn’t the most confident and never felt like I fit in, so just to instill all the beautiful things in her head at a young age. And I’m having a mini-me.”

She continued, “Wayne said he’s excited to have someone that looks like me. He knows she is going to be so beautiful and he just can’t wait to build things for her and give her all the love in the world.”

Cordé Broadus and his partner Soraya Love are parents to two daughters, Elleven Love, born on August 17, 2018, and Sky Love, born on February 20, 2021. The couple also welcomed a son, Kai Love, on September 15, 2019, who tragically passed away just ten days after birth. Despite his short time on earth, Kai holds a special place in the family’s heart, and they continue to honor his memory.

Meanwhile, Cordell Broadus and his wife Phia Broadus share three children: Cordoba Journey, born on March 24, 2019, Chateau, born on March 10, 2021, and their youngest daughter, Symphony Sol, who arrived in 2023.

On October 17 Snoop Dogg stopped by the “TODAY” show and shared some insight into his role as a proud grandfather to his seven “grandbabies.”

While joining Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager for a segment on “Social Dilemmas,” Snoop weighed in on a question from grandparents who had been told by their son, Jack, that they weren’t being strict enough with their grandchildren.

“Well, I am a grandfather so Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, Jack when the parents are out of town, the kids can do whatever they want to do with grandpa and grandma,” the rapper replied. “So grandma, grandpa, keep bending the rules for your grandbabies because they’re going to love you forever, they’re going to always share secrets with you and they’re going to feel like they have a safe space with you.”

Snoop added, “Let the parents keep being those mean, wall-putting up barriers. You don’t have any barriers; you’re grandma and grandpa!”

Earlier this year, Snoop Dogg shared heartfelt reflections about his grandchildren in an exclusive clip from his Words + Music: From the Streets to the Suites special, released by People Magazine.

“I am a grandfather of six, with one on the way. And my grandkids are my everything because they all individually get a piece of my heart and they’re different,” he said at the time. “My oldest grandson Zion told me he’s the biggest star in the family. He took my Snoop Loopz box and put his own little cover on the front and made his own cereal.”

The rapper continued, “And then my granddaughter CC (Journey), she plays tennis, she loves her papa. She sees me in the store in my little Corona ads and what not — [she says], ‘Papa!’ That sh-t means the world to me for them to call me that because I had a papa.”
