Taylor Swift Distances Herself from Blake Lively Amid Lawsuit

According to reports, the pop diva feels Lively used her as an “intimidation tactic” in a lawsuit despite her unwillingness to be embroiled in it.

Last month, Lively filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni, who responded with a lawsuit of his own.

Swift’s name was involved in the ongoing legal drama between Lively and Baldoni after the latter claimed his costar used the pop star to intimidate him during a meeting with her husband, Ryan Reynolds.

According to Baldoni, the meeting was about edits Lively had made to a rooftop scene in the movie, “It Ends With Us,” which he directed.

Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit, claiming Swift showed up and made him feel he “needed to comply with Blake’s direction for the script.”

Meanwhile, Lively compared herself to “Game of Thrones” character Khaleesi in a series of text messages in which she appeared to threaten Baldoni, referring to her husband and Swift as her dragons.

That was the last straw for Swift, who reportedly didn’t like Lively’s description and never planned to attend the meeting. However, it was still ongoing when she arrived at Lively’s penthouse in New York.

An insider told Daily Mail that Swift has decided to withdraw from Lively for now. They said, “For the time being she is taking a step back from Blake because she doesn’t want to get tangled in this more than she already has – which is far more than she ever needed to be.”

The insider also revealed that Swift’s friends didn’t like how Lively described herself as “Khaleesi” and referred to the singer as one of her “dragons” in her text to Baldoni.

They shared, “Her friends also think Blake’s ‘I’m Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have dragons’ text to Justin was uncool and unnecessary because she was essentially used as an intimidation tactic. She was referred to as some kind of pet or possession.”

The source added, “Taylor shouldn’t even be involved in this at all. She was only going over to visit Blake and Ryan with the understanding that the meeting would be over.”

Meanwhile, a second insider revealed Swift didn’t like her name being involved in Baldoni and Lively’s legal tussle.

They said “Taylor has politely backed away from it all. She is conscious of her own image and hates that she was even mentioned.”

Swift has been there for Lively amid the drama that unfolded after “It Ends With Us” was released.

When rumors of a rift between Lively and Baldoni surfaced in August 2024, Swift seemingly rallied around her friend.

Lively and Reynolds stayed at Swift’s $17 million Rhode Island property amid the media frenzy after the film’s release.

The 37-year-old actress faced severe backlash at the time over her “tone-deaf” marketing, as she seemed to dismiss questions about domestic violence, which was a major theme in the movie.

Lively and Swift, who have been friends for a decade, were last pictured together in October during a double date with their better halves, Reynolds and Travis Kelce, respectively.

In December, Blake Lively accused Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment and fostering a toxic work environment on the set of “It Ends with Us.”

She filed a complaint with the California Civil Rights Department, which was soon followed by a New York Times exposé alleging Baldoni orchestrated a smear campaign against her.

In response, Baldoni fired back with a $400 million countersuit against Lively and Reynolds, accusing them of attempting to ruin his reputation.

Blake Lively’s legal filing mentioned a January 2024 meeting at her New York penthouse to address on-set misconduct.

Baldoni, however, claims he was invited to discuss a script change when Reynolds aggressively confronted him.

The lawsuit includes messages referencing “Taylor,” implying Swift’s involvement in pressuring Baldoni. However, it looks like she wants nothing to do with the lawsuit moving forward.
