It’s no secret that Taylor Swift is a billionaire, but how did the Eras Tour add to her musical fortune?

The singer kicked off the two-year-long concert tour in March 2023 and performed around the globe bringing music to fans who traveled far and wide to see her. After nearly two years on stage, Swift said goodbye to the Eras Tour with one final show at Vancouver’s BC Place in December 2024.

“I knew this tour was harder than anything I’d ever done before by a long shot,” Swift told Time Magazine in December 2023. “I finally, for the very first time, physically prepared correctly.”

The Ticketmaster Debacle

After Swift announced The Eras Tour in November 2022, Ticketmaster received the most presale registration for any event on the site with over 3.5 million people signing up. Of course, this led to a disastrously botched presale and millions of unhappy fans. (The United States Senate held a 2023 hearing over the incident as well.)

Swift responded to the debacle, explaining that she was “not going to make excuses for anyone” in a lengthy statement at the time.

“We asked them, multiple times, if they could handle this kind of demand and we were assured they could,” she stated. “It’s truly amazing that 2.4 million people got tickets, but it really pisses me off that a lot of them feel like they went through several bear attacks to get them.”
