A huge European club could reportedly offer a “magnificent” £66m-rated player to Newcastle United, as part of a swap deal that sees Sandro Tonali head the other way.
Tonali linked with Newcastle exit
Tonali has been a great signing for the Magpies, when available, forging a great understanding with the likes of Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton, providing technical quality and energy in the middle of the park.
Worryingly, however, the Italian has been linked with a summer move to Juventus in recent weeks, with Douglas Luiz mentioned as an option to head in the opposite direction. Newcastle will no doubt be desperate to keep hold of one of their most important players, but it remains to be seen if a return to his homeland appeals.
In terms of incoming transfer rumours doing the rounds for the Magpies, Jack Grealish has been backed to join from Manchester City at the end of the season. The 29-year-old would provide competition for Anthony Gordon on the left wing, hopefully kicking on and being given a little more freedom to express himself compared to under Pep Guardiola.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White has also been linked with a move to St James’ Park in the summer window, having shone so much for the Reds this season, bagging five goals and assists apiece in the Premier League in 2024/25 so far.
Juventus set to offer £66m player to Newcastle
According to Calciomercato [via Sport Witness], Juve are ready to offer £66m-rated attacker Kenan Yildiz to Newcastle this summer, in order to snap up Tonali as part of a swap deal. The Italian’s name is “circled in red” by the Turin giants, as they continue to see him as a primary option this summer, and they are willing to part ways with Yildiz in the process.
In truth, keeping hold of Tonali should take precedence for Newcastle over any potential swap deal, given his age and the vast influence he has at the heart of Eddie Howe’s midfield.
That said, if the worst did happen and the 24-year-old decides he wants to join Juve, Yildiz would represent an exciting addition to the Magpies’ squad, being hailed as “magnificent” by football talent scout Jacek Kulig.
At just 19 years of age, the winger is already making waves at Juve, scoring four Serie A goals this season and also finding the net in the Champions League, and he is capable of flourishing on either flank.

Eddie Howe could be tempted by an intriguing Newcastle Utd transfer possibility.
Mainly a left winger, Yildiz could be an alternative and younger option than Grealish, with his high ceiling meaning he could mature into an elite talent over time, but he could also fill the much-needed void on the right after the exit of Miguel Almiron.
