India A speedster Prasidh Krishna got rid of Australia A’s Marcus Harris and Cameron Bancroft off consecutive deliveries on Day 3 of the second unofficial Test in Melbourne on Saturday, November 9. Krishna dismissed Harris caught behind by Dhruv Jurel before trapping Bancroft in front of the stumps. The duo walked back for golden ducks.

The dismissals came in the very first of Australia’s second innings. Krishna bowled a fuller length ball outside off and Harris tried to reach out fir a drive but ended up getting an inside edge before Jurel took a regulation catch.

On the next delivery, Krishna bowled another fuller-length ball that got some late outswing. Bancroft was beaten on the inside edge and was plumb in front of the stumps. It was an easy decision for the on-field umpire.

Sharing the videos on X, Cricket Australia’s official handle wrote:

Prasidh Krishna had previously bagged four wickets in the first essay against Australia A.

Prasidh Krishna strikes twice but India A need a miracle against Australia A

Prasidh Krishna impressed with the ball but it wasn’t enough for India A against Australia A in the second Test. The visitors are defending 167 runs in the second innings.

At the time of writing, the hosts were 108/4 while chasing 168. Sam Konstas and Beau Webster are at the crease.

Batting first, India A were bundled out for 161 in the first innings. Dhruv Jurel top scored 80 off 186 deliveries, hitting two sixes and six boundaries. Michael Neser starred with the ball for Australia, returning with figures of 4/27, while Beau Webster bagged three wickets.

In response, Australia A put up 223 in the first innings. Marcus Harris starred with the bat, scoring 74 off 138 deliveries. Besides Krishna, Mukesh Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed bagged three and two wickets, respectively.

In the second innings, India posted 229. Dhruv Jurel scored 68 off 122, while Tanush Kotian, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Prasidh Krishna chipped in with 44, 38, and 29, respectively.

Corey Rocchiccioli emerged as the leading wicket-taker, picking up four wickets. Beau Webster and Nathan McAndrew picked up three and two wickets, respectively.

Australia A are leading the two-match series 1-0 after winning the opening game by seven wickets.
