Wu-Tang Clan have announced they will be embarking on a farewell concert tour.

“This is a special moment for me and all my Wu brothers,” band member RZA announced on Monday, February 24.

The 27-date Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber Tour will kick off on June 6 at Baltimore’s CFG Bank Arena before hitting New York City, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles and Toronto. As of now, the tour is scheduled to wrap up at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center on July 18.

According to Billboard, Wu-Tang will be represented by all nine living members at the Final Chamber shows, plus Young Dirty Bastard filling in for his late father, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, who died from a drug overdose in 2004. Run the Jewels will be among the special guests opening for Wu-Tang.

Tickets for Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber Tour go on sale Friday, February 28, at 10a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. Fans will be able to choose from general admission or VIP ticket packages.

RZA, 55, said in a statement announcing the tour: “Wu-Tang Clan has shown the world many chambers throughout our career; this tour is called The Final Chamber. This is a special moment for me and all my Wu brothers to run around the globe together one more time and spread the Wu swag, music, and culture.”

“Most importantly to touch our fans and those who have supported us throughout the years,” the hip-hop legend continued. “On this tour we’re playing songs we’ve never played before to our audience and me and our production team have designed a Wu-Tang show unlike anything you’ve ever seen. And to top it off, we’ve got the amazing Run the Jewels on our side.”

Wu-Tang Clan originally formed in Staten Island, New York, in 1992. The band’s lineup has fluctuated throughout the past 30 years, but notable members include Method Man, GZA, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon. Busta Rhymes, Nas and Redman have often collaborated with Wu-Tang as well.

The band’s groundbreaking 1993 debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), set a new standard for East Coast hip-hop, paving the way for future genre-defying artists such as The Notorious B.I.G. and Jay-Z.

Wu-Tang’s success continued with 1997’s Wu-Tang Forever, which earned them a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap Album the following year. (Diddy‘s collective Puff Daddy & The Family ultimately won for No Way Out.)

The group’s 2015 studio album, Once Upon a Time in Shaolin, was the subject of controversy when the only copy was sold to pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli for a reported $2 million. The rights to the album were seized from Shkreli by a federal court following his 2017 conviction for securities fraud and conspiracy.

The Department of Justice eventually sold the rights for Once Upon a Time in Shaolin to NFT collector PleasrDAO as a way to pay restitution to Shkreli’s victims. The record has since been publicly exhibited at the Museum of Old and New Art in Australia, in addition to PleasrDAO selling partial ownership rights as NFTs.

Months before news broke of the group’s upcoming tour, Raekwon marked the 20th anniversary of Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s death with a solemn Instagram tribute.

“Miss you beloved,” Raekwon wrote in November 2024. “Today marks 20 years you been gone and it’s not a day that goes by we don’t miss feeling your presence in the world.”

The rapper went on: “Thank you for believing in us and putting ya mighty crew on the map.. You will always remain general in my eyes. love you.”
