Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has recently been making headlines, not for his cricketing prowess, but due to persistent rumors surrounding his personal life.
First, there were whispers about his alleged separation from wife Dhanashree Verma, amplified when the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram and removed several of their pictures together. Soon after, speculation about his alleged relationship with RJ Mahvash. Now, Chahal is once again in the spotlight, this time linked to actress and social media influencer Zaara Yesmin, following speculation that he proposed to her during an Instagram Live session.
Zaara Yesmin addresses the proposal rumours
In a recent interview, Zaara finally addressed the swirling rumours, setting the record straight. She categorically denied any romantic involvement with Chahal. Zaara explained that the misunderstanding likely stemmed from a casual Instagram Live session they conducted during the COVID-19 lockdown, where they discussed how she was managing household chores without domestic help due to restrictions.

The Instagram live chat that sparked speculation
Zaara further elaborated that during the light-hearted conversation, Chahal jokingly mentioned that he could “surprise anyone by getting married anytime,” without referencing anyone in particular. This offhand comment, she believes, was misconstrued, leading to false rumours about a budding romance between them. She further clarified that this Instagram Live session occurred months before Chahal even married Dhanashree, making the proposal rumours baseless.
“During my conversation with Chahal he jokingly mentioned that he could ‘surprise anyone by getting married anytime,’ this offhand comment, I believe, was misconstrued and led to false rumors about a romance between us. I want to make it clear that this Instagram Live session took place months before Chahal even married Dhanashree, so the proposal rumors are completely baseless,” she concluded.
